CALENDAR: How to Review & Approve Submitted Events

After events are submitted on the public form for people to enter events, they appear in the event list just like any other event. As an editor, you can review event submissions by going to your event list (by clicking on Events on the left-side of the WordPress Dashboard). If you have the ‘Draft’ status enabled, then you’ll notice that submitted events display as drafts.

When someone enters an event you will receive an email:

SUBJECT: [Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce] Community Events Submission: “Event submitted from public website”

Review Event

You can click on the link in the event to go straight to the page where you can review, change and publish it. It comes in as DRAFT status but when you hit the PUBLISH button below it will show up on the calendar.
