Mrs. Miranda’s Ribbon Cutting – June 9, 2023

Mrs. Mirandas Child Development Center is due to open in just a few days and will offer full-time and part-time childcare, a preschool program, and after-school care through second grade. The newly renovated building, located at 107 South Bond Street near Downtown Whitewright, has undergone a complete and beautiful transformation under the direction of Texoma Area Builder of the Year, Tony Miller Construction. Her facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, supportive, and creative environment that fosters a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, build, pretend, and create their way to exciting discoveries about the world around them. Mrs. Miranda’s mission includes preparing children to be well-rounded young ladies and gentlemen by practicing age-appropriate independence skills, basic manners, the ability to cooperate kindly, use self-control, demonstrate responsibility, and make thoughtful choices. Her goal is that children will be prepared to move on from her center feeling successful and confident, ready to face the opportunities of their future.
Miranda has over 24 years of experience in education bringing a plethora of foundational knowledge to this industry, ultimately giving the families she serves an unmatched advantage. In addition to her experience, Miranda’s husband, Rusty is a lifelong resident of Whitewright and is an Agricultural Science Teacher at Whitewright High School. He and Miranda have 3 children, a combined 44 successful years as educators, and 17 years of business experience selling show quality cattle.
Miranda would like to extend her sincere appreciation to her family, friends, Tony Miller Construction, the community, and the city of Whitewright for their support and encouragement during this process❤️

Crawfish Boil – Saturday, April 29th from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM – Downtown Whitewright, TX

Join the Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce on the evening of Saturday, April 29th for a Crawfish Boil.  This will be the annual event for 2023 taking place in the Event Lot (Grass area next to Legend Bank) from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.   Lots of fun, food, awards and music.  Entry tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased at the Visitors Center from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday or can be purchased online under SPONSOR.  Crawfish will be sold at $10.00 per pound.  Call the Visitor’s Center if additional information is needed. 903.364.2000.

Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce Community Yard Sale – October 14th & 15th 2022

SAVE THE DATE – Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce Community-wide Yard Sale Friday, October 14th and 15th, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day. If you would like to register your yard sale please print the registration form below and mail or deliver it. Forms will also be available at the Visitor’s Center and at City Hall.

Chick-Fil-A Food Truck – Wednesday, June 22nd – 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (While Supplies Last)

The Chamber of Commerce will host a Chick-Fil-A Food Truck on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM (or while supplies last).  The food truck will be located at 203 W. Grand Street, Whitewright, TX (grassy lot to the right of Legend Bank).  This event is sponsored by members, Jake Shockley State Farm of Bonham, TX and Just Wright Nutrition of Whitewright, TX.   A special thanks also goes out to Legend Bank for the use of the event lot.  For more information call 903.364.2000.
